১১) বাংলা আমাদের মাতৃভাষা - আমাদের রাষ্ট্রভাষা, প্রাণের ভাষা। এই ভাষা শুদ্ধরূপে লিখতে ও পড়তে শেখা আমাদের অবশ্য কর্তব্য। এই ভাষার সার্বিক উন্নতির জন্য আমাদের সচেষ্ট হওয়া উচিত। কিন্তু মাতৃভাষার পাশাপাশি ইংরেজি ভাষাও আমাদের ভালভাবে শিক্ষা করা উচিৎ। আন্তর্জাতিক ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজি ভাষার ব্যবহার সর্বাধিক।

Translation: Bangla is our mother tongue- the language of the state and of our life. It is our essential duty to learn to read and write the language correctly. We should be active enough for the all round welfare of the language. But we should learn English well beside our mother tongue. English is used mostly in the international area.

 

১২) আমরা ১৯৭১ সালের ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর স্বাধীনতা লাভ করেছি। অনেক ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে এই স্বাধীনতা অর্জন করেছি। কিন্তু আমরা কি সত্যিকার অর্থে স্বাধীনতার স্বাদ পেয়েছি? সমাজে আজও দারিদ্র্য, অশিক্ষা ও অবিচার বিরাজ করছে। আজও অনেক লোক গৃহহারা, আশ্রয়হীন। ধনী আরও ধনী এবং গরীব আরো গরীব হচ্ছে। দেশের এই দুরাবস্থা দূর করা আমাদের পবিত্র দায়িত্ব।

Translation: We achieved freedom in 16th December, 1971. We achieved it in exchange of great sacrifice. But have we got real taste of independence. Poverty, ignorance and injustice are still prevailed in the society. Still many people are homeless and rootless. The rich are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer. It is our sacred duty to alleviate this bad condition of the country.

 

১৩) ভ্রমণ মানুষকে উদার ও মহৎ করে। এটা মানুষের চিত্তকে প্রফুল­ করে। সুতরাং প্রত্যেকের পাহাড়, নদী, সাগর, পর্বত ভ্রমণে বের হওয়া উচিত। তবেই শিক্ষার সাথে সাথে মনকেও আনন্দ দিতে পারবে।

Translation: Traveling makes a man liberal and great. It makes the mind of a man cheerful. So, everybody should get out to see hills, rivers, seas and mountains. Only then one’s mind will be glad beside education.

 

১৪) যে দেশকে ভালবাসে সে দেশপ্রেমিক। একজন দেশপ্রেমিক নিজের জীবনের চেয়ে নিজের দেশকে বেশি ভালবাসে। সে দেশের মঙ্গলের জন্য জীবন দিতে প্রস্তুত। তাঁকে সবাই সম্মান করে। মৃত্যূর পরও সবাই বেঁচে থাকে।

Translation: He, who loves his country, is a patriot. A patriot loves his country more than his life. He is ready to sacrifice his life for the welfare of the country. Everybody respects him. He lives even after his death.

 

১৫) রক্ত দিয়ে এ দেশ গড়া, কারো দানে এ দেশ নয়। আর এ রক্ত দান করা হয়েছিল পাকিস্তনের স্বৈরাচার ও সন্ত্রাসের বিরুদ্ধে। তাই এ দেশে সন্ত্রাস ও স্বৈরাচারকে আমরা সমর্থন করিনা। সন্ত্রাস একটি দেশের শান্তি ও শৃঙ্খলা বিনষ্ট করে। যে কোন মূল্যে আমরা স্বাধীনতা রক্ষা করব ও প্রকৃত গণতন্ত্র প্রতিষ্ঠা করব।

Translation: This country is built by blood, not donated by anyone. And this blood was sacrificed against the autocracy and violence of Pakistan. So we do not support violence and autocracy in this country. Violence destroys the peace and order of a country. Anyhow we will save independence of this country and establish real democracy.
